,hotelstar hotels will be built in the Historical Center of Arequipa this year.
The corresponding investments have been calculated to be worth more than US$ 10 million, announced Alfredo Venero, Foreign Trade and Tourism manager of the Regional Government of Arequipa.
The hotels will be located at colonial houses.
The investing hotel chains have already initiated the pertinent arrangements at the Regional Culture Direction, in order to obtain the permit needed to concretize the hostelling proposals.
It must be noted Arequipa’s Historical Center was declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
